Since the wildly successful original DSTT adapter came out, there has been several major revision to the card, as well as several copycat variations of the DSTT adapter. Unfortunately, the quality of the fake cards varies considerably, and we only recommend the original DSTT.

How to spot the Fakes

Due to the very serious problem of the fake DSTT adapters, the original DSTT manufacturer are currently carrying out a serious campaign to educate the general public on how to distinguish a fake DSTT from a real one. The only way of doing this is to open up the DSTT cover and look at the arrangement of the circuit board as shown below.

Currently, most boxed DSTT adapters on sale that claims to be new are fakes, as the original DSTT manufacturer stopped producing the box model in July 2008.

The geniune DSTT (CURRENT, previous versions were boxed but still genuine) currently comes in a pastic package as shown below:

Avoiding Fake DSTT Adapters

Always buy your DSTT adapters / TT DS cards from a reputable supplier. We recommend NDS-Gear, especially if you're in the U.K.!
